Info You Might Like

From time to time we run across information that might not fit exactly into our mission, but still might useful to our community. They may be interesting businesses, classes or other opportunities you might want to check out.  The Center isn't recommending or endorsing any of these businesses or opportunities...but we thought you might like to know. If you find one good...or bad...let us know and we'll pass it along.

For news, tools and information that can help you check out The Idaho Commission on Aging. The Commission has been around since 1968 and its mission is to help older adults and people with disabilities remain independent, avoid institutionalization and age in place in their own homes and communities. Visit the ICOA website for information, links to assistance in our area, online courses on a variety of topics, and for much more information. You'll find the commission at https://aging.idaho.gov

There are few things more difficult to deal with as we age than a medical challenge. The scariest of those for most people is a cancer diagnosis. Where do you even start when you have a question?  There are actually many resources, such as The American Cancer Society.  Another good information source for those with lung problems associated with asbestos exposure is The Mesothelioma Center at Asbestos.com.  There you can find information and helpful links where you can find help
